Bespoke is not a transaction — it is a journey. From the first conversation to the moment you hold the finished piece, here is what working with Stara looks like.
The Consultation
Everything starts with a conversation. You'll meet with us privately — in person at our Kelowna atelier, or virtually from anywhere — to share your vision, your story, and the occasion behind the piece. We'll ask questions, listen carefully, and begin to understand what you're truly looking for.
There is no obligation and no pressure. This is simply where we listen.
Concept & Design
Based on your consultation, our designer develops initial concepts tailored entirely to your vision. Before anything is cast or set, you'll receive a detailed CAD rendering of your piece, at no charge — so you can see it clearly before it's made. We refine the design until you're completely satisfied.
Nothing moves forward until you're genuinely excited about where it's heading.
Deposit Request
Once the rendering is approved, a non-refundable deposit is required to begin the creation process. The deposit amount is confirmed at your consultation and is applied toward your total. The remaining amount will be due upon final delivery.
Stone Selection
With the design direction confirmed, we cut and/or source the stones. Whether you're looking for a natural diamond, a lab-grown stone, or an exceptional coloured gemstone, we'll present curated options with full transparency on origin, quality, and value.
We'll educate you on what you're looking at, help you understand the differences, and make sure you feel confident in your choice.
Creation
With your full approval, your piece enters production. Every Stara creation is handcrafted using traditional goldsmithing techniques and modern precision. We don't rush. We keep you informed at key milestones throughout the process.
Most pieces take 3 to 4 weeks from design approval to completion.
The Reveal
When your piece is complete, we present it to you — in person at our Kelowna atelier, or via a private virtual reveal. This is the moment your story becomes something you can hold, wear, and one day pass on.
It is, without exception, our favourite part.
